Jaipur:  in a thrilling match. Gujarat Titans snatched victory from the jaws of Rajasthan Royals in the last 2 overs.  Captain Shubhman Gill played a explosive inning of 72 runs for Gujarat.

After losing the toss and batting first, Rajasthan scored a challenging score of 196 runs. While chasing the target, Gujarat had a good start. There was a partnership of 64 runs for the first wicket between Captain Gill and Sai Sudarshan. However, after this the team continued to face setbacks. Kuldeep Sen’s lethal bowling had shaken Gujarat’s middle order.

He sent Gujarat on the back foot by taking 3 important wickets. But in the end Gujarat snatched the victory from Rajasthan. Gill played an innings of 72 runs in 44 balls. Whereas Rashid Khan made an important contribution in Gujarat’s victory by playing a brilliant inning of 24 runs in 11 balls in the last overs. Sudarshan scored 35 runs for Gujarat.

At that time, after 15 overs, Gujarat’s score was 124 runs for 4 wickets and they still needed 73 runs to win. While Gill remained the trouble-shooter for Gujarat, he was cleverly stumped by Yuzvendra Chahal in the 16th over. After this the match was stuck as Gujarat needed 42 runs in the last 3 overs, two stormy batsmen in the form of Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan were at the crease.

Shahrukh gave Gujarat hope of victory by hitting some good shots, but he became the victim of Avesh Khan. There was still life left in the match as Gujarat needed 15 runs to win in the last over. Meanwhile, Rashid Khan has stopped Rajasthan’s four-match winning streak in IPL 2024 by hitting a four on the last ball of the last over.

Kuldeep Sen bowled very well for Rajasthan and broke the back of GT’s batting by taking 3 wickets in 2 overs. Apart from him, Yuzvendra Chahal took 2 important wickets and Avesh Khan also got one wicket. But Avesh Khan could not defend 15 runs in the last over of the innings, due to which Rajasthan had to face its first defeat in IPL 2024.
